Key achievements

  • After integrating seamlessly with the ARL in-house team and delivering the Operations Manual, I was asked to fulfil the Safety Officer role on all event days at the Venue
  • Transitioned the operation from paper based to electronic, working with a technology partner to develop a system that worked for the operation
  • Updated and developed a PEAPs (Pre-Event Action Plan) process for the venue to ensure compliance and tracking of issues
  • Created a Planning Integration Process to ensure the Safety Officer was consulted during the planning process

After working with Laudation on the development of our Site Operations Manual, it made sense to transition our Safety Officer role over to them as well. With the racecourse spread out over acres of grounds, with up to 75,000 per day on Royal Ascot and numerous enclosures, similar to mini venues, we needed someone dynamic and forward thinking to fulfil the role. With the movement of spectators more in line with a Music Festival than a stadium, we were looking for something a little different to a standard stadium safety officer, and we have found that now. Laudation integrated seamlessly with our internal team from day one and we look forward to building a long relationship with them going forward. "
